Skye Jamieson ‘Steam Plumes Up From The Floor’, 2021

PREVIOUS EXHIBITION:

‘I DREAMT ABOUT BEING HERE THREE MONTHS LATER’
10TH OF JUNE – 10TH OF JULY 2021

Through her slow and intuitive approach to pure abstract painting, Skye Jamieson negotiates the nuances of her urban surroundings and emotional responses to it. I Dreamt About Being Here Three Months Later brings together a collection of works in a psychogeographic exploration of the artist's movements through cityscapes, where she documents fluid moments of drifting through an environment with acute awareness.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Evocative of the paths less wandered, Jamieson's paintings draw parallels with the 1960s Situationist art movement that urged a dissolving of the boundaries between life and art. Based on authentic lived experiences and everyday moments, the artist communicates through studies of gesture and feeling that elicit a quiet yet pervasive intensity.
